Guy was the second Flatcoat to join the Lamintone household and
certainly tried to live up to his registered name creating a storm
wherever he went! He was a livewire constantly on the go living life to
the full, but could also be the soppiest dog going when he wanted. He
loved being outside, and often took himself for a run in the woods or
swim in the pond if nobody would take him. Whilst in Leamington he loved
his regular swim in the River Avon, and would often swim against the
current for 200yards or more, then let the current carry him back only
to start again! In Shropshire he just had to be content with retrieving toys from
the ponds - he sure had a tough life!
 Guy
had a love of working, often having too much enthusiasm, but when we are
able to control this he was fantastic, and a superstar. He could fly
round an agility course and his weaves - well the poles had better be
glued down! His enthusiasm meant that he never got round a course
without elimination! Guy also tried his hand at obedience, where he was
always looking for ways to outsmart his handler, although just to prove
knows how to use his brain on the only occasion he competitively did a
sent test he made no mistakes and went clear (loosing no marks).
Guy was shown as a youngster where he did relatively well qualifying
for Crufts the two years he was shown, placing 3rd in Special Puppy in
2001.
We sadly lost Guy at the end of 2011, he will be greatly missed, and
his zest for life fondly remembered.
