We got Reva with the main
intention of showing her and just having a play around at some of the
other activities but how things have changed.
Whilst Reva still makes the
occasional appearance in the show ring her main focus is now on the
working events.
Obedience

On and off since a puppy Reva has
been trained for obedience, although never with the intention of
competing. As she had been progressing well in her training we took a
big leap and entered her for some obedience shows. Having entered the
shows as a Pre-Beginner dog at only her 2nd show she got her 1st win in
Beginners. This was quickly followed by her 2nd Beginner win at her 3rd
show - winning us out of Beginners for good! Reva also won a heat of the
Special Pre-Beginner Stakes which qualified her through for the Semi
Finals at Discover Dogs. At the Semis she qualified for the Final at
Crufts 2010 where she came 2nd.
Since winning out of Beginners
Reva has been taken out of the rings to focus on her training for the
higher classes but we hope to be back in the rings in the middle of
2010.
Herding

Again we never had any intention
of working Reva on livestock, but how things change! Reva has shown a
lot of natural instinct when working sheep, as well as lots of
enthusiasm. On the occasion we have a spare weekend you will usually
find us training on the sheep. There has been a big learning curve for
the handler as well as for the dog but things are slowly getting
together. We have tentative plans to trial Reva on sheep at some point
in the future.
Agility

Reva has done a small
amount of agility training, although this has taken a back seat for the
obedience and herding. We hope one day to be able to do a more serious
agility work with her.
