  About Us
Lamintone is a small family kennel mainly based in Shropshire where the majority of the dogs live with Cynthia. We also hava a base in Buckinghamshire where Heather has a couple of the dogs. The dogs based with Heather tend to be the dogs which are seen out and about at different events, but that doesn't stop those in Shropshire making the occasional appearance when circumstances allow.

The first dog came into our family in 1996 and a year later our first Flatcoat Jessica followed. When Jessica joined us Heather was 13 and it wasn't long before they were attending dog training classes together and from there breed shows. From there on we became hooked and slowly stared to take part in more activities.

Encouraged by Jessica's breeder Heather joined the Kennel Club Junior Organisation  (now the YKC) which further fuelled her interest in having a go at other events, and so got into handling, agility and obedience. More information about her involvement in the KCJO/YKC can be found here.

As always one Flatcoat was never enough and so our second Flatcoat joined the family. Shortly after this we decided to get our own Kennel Name, and after many considerations we chose Lamintone. This came from town where we were living Leamington Spa, Lamintone being the name the town was given in the Doomsday Book.

Whilst Heather went away to University, the activities with the dogs took a backseat and we retired both our dogs. 2006 saw Fidget join the family, the first of our next generation of dogs and hopefully the start of our breeding plans.

For many years Heather had admired the Australian Shepherd for there versatility and after a very long wait 2007 saw the arrival of Reva and we haven't looked back since.

We like our dogs to be able to use there brains as well as have a good confirmation, and over the years dogs have competed in agility and obedience as well as the show rings. In recent years we have started to diversify even further taking up herding with Reva, and also some work towards a couple of our dogs becoming part of the demonstration team for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
